Ink Review #178: Diamine Cobalt Jazz

Diamine Cobalt Jazz is another ink from the 2017 Diamine Shimmertastic collection. I'm so close to having the full collection reviewed. I purchased my sample of ink from Vanness Pens

The color:

Cobalt Jazz is a medium blue with dark pink sheen and gold shimmer.

The ink drops show off the bright sheen and gold shimmer.

Dry time: 45 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: Low-there was a little bit of bleeding, mainly in the flex nib.

Other properties: Low shading, medium sheen, and gold shimmer.

On 20 pound copy paper there was a tiny bit of feathering, but other than that the ink behaved pretty well.

Ink swabs for comparison, left to right (top to bottom for mobile RSS): Diamine Arctic Blue, Diamine Cobalt Jazz, and Diamine Oxford Blue. Click here to see the Diamine inks together, the Shimmertastics are at the bottom of the page.

Longer writing:

I used a medium Edison Nouveau Premier Delphinium on Tomoe River paper. The ink behaved really well, but was a little on the wet side.

Overall, I really like this one-it's nice and bright and has some interesting sheen and shimmer.
