Pebble Stationery Co. Notebook

This week Pebble Stationery Co, a small Australian business, launched their notebook Kickstarter. The Kickstarter is on day three and is already completely funded. The Kickstarter is scheduled to deliver in February 2019.

They sent me some notebooks to try out a few weeks ago, and I’ve been using them daily. These pocket notebooks come in sets of 2 for AUS $13 early bird pricing, and then AUS $15 for the remainder of the kickstarter. The notebooks measure 3.5” x 5.5” and include 80 pages of 52gsm Tomoe River paper.

The pencil included with the Kickstarter utilizes 2B graphite with an attached eraser. It is a lovely silver-grey with subtle white branding.

You can see in the picture above I used a clip to keep the notebook closed since mine has been used so much it no longer stays closed on its own.

The cover is 350gsm cardstock with a subtle branding impression on the front cover. The cover has held up really well over the past few weeks. The prototypes I received had hand-stitched binding, which I had some issues with (crooked stitching, easily broken), but I’m happy to say they listened to feedback and the stitching is now machine-stitched.

Inside cover:

The inside cover has a place for you to include your details in case you lose the notebook.

The paper in my notebook is blank 52gsm Tomoe River paper. The notebooks now include dot grid, which I prefer over blank.

Tomoe River does an amazing job handling fountain pens, but it also works pretty well for softer pencils. I love that the pencil included in the kickstarter is a bit soft at 2B.

Overall, I love that the branding is subtle and utilitarian. I love supporting new stationery projects, and this Kickstarter is a great way to get Tomoe River notebooks in Australia.
