Summer Vibes 2018
/It's summer! We live in Washington, and it has been 90* this past week, which is pretty much hell without air conditioning. I've been getting a lot of questions about summer favorites, and it's reader request week, so let's take a look at some of my favorite stationery supplies for summer.
Ink:
Everything for me starts with the ink so here's some of my current summery inks. The notebook I'm using is the Ivory Dot Grid Hippo Noto.
Diamine Wild Strawberry
Diamine Flowers Gerbera
Diamine Aqua Lagoon
Diamine Violet
Here's my currently inked pens. The notebook I'm using is the Midori MD A5 grid, which I will be reviewing soon (because I really like it). I almost always have a black ink in the mix, along with tons of color.
Gel Pens and Pencils:
Other pens and pencils I'm loving right now:
Pilot Juice Blue Black 0.7-I don't know why, but blue black gel pens are my favorite for everyday use, so I always have a few handy.
Papermate Inkjoy Gel Black 0.7-I love these pens, they are so smooth and come in a ton of fun colors.
Palomino Blackwing Pearl
Alvin Draft/Matic 0.7 (I usually use 2B or 4B lead in my mechanical pencils)
Palomino Blackwing 73 (my favorite Blackwing, I wish I had more than one box of them)
Alvin Draft/Matic 0.5 Artsnacks edition-I obviously love this pencil since I have two of them on the list, and the Artsnacks color is fabulous. I wish Alvin had more special editions of the Draft/Matic.
Faber-Castell PITT Metallic Artist Pen - 1.5 mm - Copper (I love this for addressing envelopes)
Snail Mail:
I love making envelopes. I use the Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers. I've had some hits and misses with papers, but Joann Fabrics recently came out with a new brand called Park Lane, and I've fallen in love with their #110 paper packs. This one is the "Bright" set.
For stationery, I've been using the Life Co. Writing Paper the most. I've fallen in love with postcards lately, and the Lost Ocean set by Johanna Basford is lovely. I adore these shell postcard stamps, and the new scratch 'n sniff Frozen Treats forever stamps.
For wax seals I still use this glue gun from JetPens, and the Champagne Gold wax sticks from Back to Zero. The Rose Gold Envelope Addressing Template from Ink Me This helps me keep my envelops tidy and straight (which I need since I can't write in a straight line worth a darn). My two favorite wax seals right now are the Bespoke Monogram and the Fresh Lilies wax seal, both from Stampitude. I love their seal handles too; one is the walnut handle, and the other is the brass.
I have been slacking a bit on my letter-writing, but now that I've finished my finals this past week, I've used the weekend to catch up.
My favorite part of summer is the bright fun colors. What are your favorite summer stationery supplies?
