Today let’s take a look at Akkerman #25 Denneweg Groen. A sample of this ink was provided by a reader for this review. I love this color family-not quite green but not quite blue, somewhere in the blue-green teal family.

The color:

Denneweg Groen is a pretty teal-ish green. I think it’s closer to teal than green.

Swabs:

In large swabs there is some pretty red sheen.

Denneweg Groen is closest to Diamine Cool Green, but it’s also similar to Pelikan Edelstein Jade. Click here to see the Akkerman inks together, and click here to see the teal inks together.

Longer Writing:

I used a Kaweco Al-sport Rose Gold with a broad nib on Tomoe River paper. The ink had an average flow.

Overall, I really like this ink, but I do find it pretty similar to Diamine Cool Green. It’s a pretty color, well behaved, and comes in amazing glass bottles.
