Anderillium Cephalopod Inks, Part 1

Today let’s take a look at four inks from the Anderillium Cephalopod series. Anderillium is a new-to-me brand that’s made in Tampa, Florida. Thanks to Enigma Stationery for sending these inks over for review!

Swabs:

Left to right: Colossal Squid Dark, Cuttlefish Brown, Vampire Squid Red and Flapjack Octopus Orange.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry Time: 30-80 seconds

Water Resistance: Low-Medium

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: All have low shading.

On Walmart Pen + Gear copy paper there was some feathering in every nib size and some bleeding.

Comparison Swabs:

Colossal Squid Dark is closest to Lamy Obsidian.

Cuttlefish Brown is closest to Sailor Jentle Doyou.

Vampire Squid Red is close to Wearingeul Anne of Green Gables.

Flapjack Octopus Orange is similar to Nemosine Solar Storm.

Longer Writing:

I used a Taroko Enigma notebook. All four had average flows.

Overall, these are lovely, well-behaved inks. Colossal Squid Dark does have a rather long dry time, but other than that I enjoyed them.
