Ink Review #380: Aurora Blue Black
/It's blue black week! Today's ink is Aurora Blue Black, which comes in 45ml bottles. I purchased my samples of ink from Vanness Pens.
Swabs:
In large swabs there is some reddish sheen.
Writing samples:
Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.
Dry time: 40 seconds
Water resistance: Low
Feathering: Low-there is some feathering on Rhodia and Leuchtturm.
Show through: Medium
Bleeding: None
Other properties: medium shading, medium sheen, and no shimmer.
On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering in every nib size, and a little bit of bleeding in the flex nib.
Comparison Swabs:

Longer Writing:
Overall, it is a lovely true blue black. There was a little bit of feathering, but other than that it's pretty well behaved.
