Ink Review #380: Aurora Blue Black

It's blue black week! Today's ink is Aurora Blue Black, which comes in 45ml bottles. I purchased my samples of ink from Vanness Pens

The color:

Blue Black is a lovely medium blue black. To me, this is a true blue-black color.

Swabs:

In large swabs there is some reddish sheen.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 40 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: Low-there is some feathering on Rhodia and Leuchtturm.

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: medium shadingmedium sheen, and no shimmer.

On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering in every nib size, and a little bit of bleeding in the flex nib.

Longer Writing:

I used a broad Pelikan M600 Turquoise on G. Lalo stationery. The ink had an average flow.

Overall, it is a lovely true blue black. There was a little bit of feathering, but other than that it's pretty well behaved.
