Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry Time: 40 seconds

Water Resistance: Medium

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: Dish Brown, Sand Beige and Lemon Yellow had low shading and Hon Dori Black had medium black sheen.

On Walmart Pen + Gear copy paper there was some feathering and bleeding in all nib sizes.

Comparison Swabs:

Hon Dori Black is closest to Robert Oster Majestic Black.

Dish Brown is a little more orange than Private Reserve Copper Burst.

Sand Beige is lighter than Diamine Weeping Willow.

Lemon Yellow is cooler-toned than Robert Oster Ten Dollar Gold and Sailor Ink Studio 670.

I used a Taroko Enigma notebook. All five inks had average flows.

Overall, I’m on the fence with these, they are okay but not amazing. Sand Beige is too light in writing for me. I like Hon Dori Black the best out of the four.
