Ink Review #389: Colorverse #40 Girls Just Wanna
/The last Colorverse x Opus 88 ink is Colorverse #40 Girls Just Wanna. In each box is a 65ml bottle and a 15ml bottle of matching ink. This ink was designed to match the Opus 88 Color Demonstrator fountain pen. Thanks to Pen Chalet for sending a sample over for review.
Swabs:
In large swabs there wasn't much shading, just a bit here and there.
Writing samples:
Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.
Dry time: 30 seconds
Water resistance: Low
Feathering: None
Show through: Medium
Bleeding: None
Other properties: no shading, no sheen, and no shimmer.
On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering and just a little bit of bleeding.
Comparison Swabs:
Ink swabs for comparison, left to right (top to bottom for mobile RSS): Diamine Flamingo Pink, Colorverse 40 Girls Just Wanna, and Colorverse 5 Lights on Ceres. Click here to see the Colorverse inks together.
Diamine Scarlet, Lamy Vibrant Pink, and Kobe 30 Oji Cherry. Oji Cherri is similar to Girls Just Wanna, but it's a bit brighter, and the flow is much wetter. Oji Cherry is the closest (and I actually prefer it over Girls Just Wanna). Click here to see the pink inks together.
Longer writing:
Overall, it's pretty well behaved, but a bit drier than I prefer. I do like the color, it reminds me of bubblegum.
