Ink Review #432: Diamine Misty Blue
/It's reader request week! Today's reader request is Diamine Misty Blue. If there's an ink you would like to see reviewed, use the contact me page or leave me an Instagram comment to let me know. I purchased my bottle of Misty Blue from Cult Pens.
Swabs:
In large swabs there is just a little bit of shading, the color is pretty consistent.
Writing samples:
Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.
Dry time: 20 seconds
Water resistance: Low
Feathering: None
Show through: Medium
Bleeding: Low-there was just a bit but I think that's because I was using a really wet flex pen.
Other properties: Low shading, no sheen, and no shimmer.
On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering and bleeding in the larger nib sizes, M, B and Flex.
Comparison Swabs:

Longer writing:
Overall, it's pretty well behaved, and I like the color. Diamine does a really great job, so it's rare that I find an one of their inks I don't like. This one's a winner for me.
