Left to right: Brown Pink, Red, Coral, Dandelion, and Yellow Fire.
Writing samples:
Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.
Dry Time: 40-50 seconds
Water Resistance: Low
Feathering: None
Show through: Medium
Bleeding: None
Other properties: Brown Pink had medium shading, and Red and Dandelion had low shading.
On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was lots of feathering in every nib size as well as some bleeding.
Comparison Swabs:
Brown Pink is lighter than Tono & Lims Am I Dreaming.
Red is less saturated than these other red inks.
Coral is lighter than J Herbin Rouille d’Ancre.
Dandelion is similar to most of these yellow inks.
Yellow Fire is one shade lighter than these other yellow inks.
Brown Pink: I used a TWSBI Eco Cement with an broad nib on a Taroko Enigma notebook. The ink had a dry flow.
Red: I used a Lamy Safari Strawberries with a medium nib on a Taroko Enigma notebook. The ink had a dry flow.
Coral: I used a TWSBI Eco Coral with a medium nib on a Taroko Enigma notebook. The ink had a dry flow.
Dandelion: I used an Esterbook Estie Sunflower with a broad nib on a Taroko Enigma notebook. The ink had a dry flow.
Dandelion: I used a TWSBI Eco Yellow with a broad nib on a Taroko Enigma notebook. The ink had a dry flow.
Overall, Brown Pink is my favorite out of the five, but all five are too dry for me for everyday use.
