Nock Co. Seed Case

When Nock Co. released their Seed cases I immediately knew I wanted one, but I wasn’t sure what color I wanted. When I looked over the Nock Co. table at the San Francisco Pen Show I saw this case and fell in love because teal is everything, and knew I wouldn’t be leaving the show without one. The Peacock/Violet Special Edition A5 Seed uses a peacock green exterior with violet interior, and a mint zipper. This case is all my favorite colors and matches my Rickshaw 6-pen roll perfectly.

The front cover has a large slit-pocket. I often put more swabs and pens in mine. If I put too much in and use a soft-cover notebook inside it is too lumpy to write in comfortably, so I prefer to use hard cover notebooks in this case.

The branding on this case is rather small-just one small tag on the front and one small tag on the lower inside back cover (yay! I prefer more discreet branding).

The inside of the case contains two pen slots on the left, vertical slots on each side to hold the notebook, and a mini pocket on the bottom right. The zipper extends completely around 3 sides, and 1.5 inches on each end of the 4th side.

The Seed Case holds most A5 notebooks well. Mine currently holds the Yoseka A5 notebook I’m using for ink reviews, and it fits perfectly. There isn’t enough room for things that extend beyond the notebook like page flags.

The inside front cover has two pen slots. They fit most fountain pens and are nice and sturdy. My only issue is that the inside one can interfere with writing on the left side of the notebook. I always move the unused pen to the outside slot so it doesn’t get in the way of use.

There is a little tiny pocket on the inside back cover, and it’s the perfect size to hold some ink swabs. It would also be a great pocket to hold page flags, small stickers, etc.

Overall, I really enjoy this case. It’s very sturdy, has great colors and protects my notebooks well. It’s a win for me, and would make a great holiday gift for a pen lover.
