Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Other properties: low shading, no sheen, and no shimmer.
On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was some feathering and no bleeding.

Australian Opal Blue is a bit paler than Diamine Aqua Blue and a bit warmer than Tono & Lims Yamanashi. Click here to see the Robert Oster inks together, and click here to see the blue inks together.
Longer writing:
I used a Edison Beaumont Unicorn with a fine nib on a Yoseka A5 notebook. The ink had a dry flow. The ink seemed to have evaporated in the pen a bit, so it was more concentrated when I first started the page.
Overall, it’s a pretty blue but it’s a bit too light for me in smaller nibs and the flow is a bit too dry. Since I already have a full bottle of this I will try adding some ink additive next time to improve the flow and use it in a larger nib. It’s not a bad ink it’s just not a great one either.
