Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 40 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: medium shading, low sheen, and no shimmer. You can only see the sheen in large nib on Tomoe River paper.

On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering in half of the nib sizes and just a little bit of bleeding.

Comparison Swabs:

Fire on Fire is closest to Robert Oster Orange, but it’s also similar to Nemosine Solar Storm 1859. Click here to see the Robert Oster inks together, and click here to see the orange inks together.

Longer Writing:

I used a Pelikan M600 Vibrant Orange with a medium nib on Tomoe River paper. The ink had an average flow.

Overall, it’s a great summer orange, perfect to get rid of the winter blues. Right now I’m really enjoying using it in my Pelikan Vibrant Orange for InCoWriMo letters.
