Sailor Jentle Ultramarine

Sailor Jentle Ultramarine is one of the six original Sailor Jentle inks that were re-released in 2017. I bought my bottle from Anderson Pens.

The bottle is 50ml of ink. I'm not crazy about the bottle. I think it's too short and wide, which makes it hard to fill a pen from.

The color:

Ultramarine is a gorgeous purple, with a rose gold sheen.

Ultramarine looks amazing on Tomoe River paper. That sheen is to die for.

Similar inks...

The closest ink is Sailor Jentle Nioi-Sumire. The second closest is Diamine Imperial Blue, which has a lot less sheen. Seasonally, I would use this ink during the winter.

On the left is Sailor Jentle Ultramarine, and on the right is Sailor Jentle Nioi-Sumire. They are very similar, with Nioi-Sumire being just a little bit more blue in color.

I used Tomoe River paper with a Sailor Pro Gear Slim Blueberry, medium nib.

Overall, I love this ink. The sheen looks amazing.
