Ink Review Colorverse Able & Miss Baker

Colorverse Able and Miss Baker come together in a set, with a 65ml bottle of Able and a 15ml bottle of Miss Baker. You can find this ink for sale at Vanness Pens.

The color:

Able is an unsaturated sage green.

Make it stand out

Miss Baker is a medium raspberry pink.

*For my swab cards I use a Col-o-ring by Skylab Letterpress, a medium Pilot Ishime and a Mabie Todd Swan.

Swabs:

In large swabs on Tomoe River paper the inks have just a little bit of shading but no sheen.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

*For my writing samples I use:

Dry time: 20 seconds

Water resistance: Medium

Feathering: Low

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: medium shading, no sheen, and no shimmer.

On 20 lb copy paper there is some feathering in the larger nib sizes but no bleeding.

Comparison Swabs:

Able is lighter than Colorverse VI Interstellar Space.

Miss Baker is similar to Rohrer & Klingner Sketch Vroni.

Longer writing:

I used a Franklin-Christoph 46 Green Diamondcast with a broad nib and a TWSBI Eco Pink with a medium nib on a Taroko Enigma notebook. The inks had average flows.

Overall, I enjoyed both of these inks. They are generally well behaved and fun colors.
