Ink Review #386: Colorverse #37 Horizon

Today let's take a look at Colorverse #37 Horizon, from the Opus 88 collection. In each box is a 65ml bottle and a 15ml bottle of matching ink. This ink was designed to match the Opus 88 Picnic Blue fountain pen. Thanks to Pen Chalet for sending a sample over for review.

The color:

Horizon is a pretty, light sky blue.

Swabs:

In large swabs there is a hint of pink sheen.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 30 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: medium shadinga tiny bit of sheen, and no shimmer. The sheen was only visible on Tomoe River paper in large swabs.

On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering and just a little bit of bleeding.

I used a fine Jinhao Shark pen on Tomoe River paper. The ink had an average flow.

Overall, it's a nice light blue, but there isn't anything about it that stands out from the 100 blue inks I already have.
