In large swabs on Tomoe River paper the ink has a little bit of shading and some black sheen.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 40 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: medium shading, tiny sheen, and no shimmer. The sheen is only visible in large swabs on Tomoe River paper.

On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was some feathering in all nib sizes but just a tiny bit of bleeding.

Comparison Swabs:

362 Zi is darker than Diamine Beethoven but lighter than Monteverde Jade Noir. Click here to see the PenBBS inks together, and click here to see the green inks together.

Longer writing:

I used a TWSBI Eco Transparent Purple with a medium nib on a Yoseka A5 notebook. The ink had a dry flow. This pen/ink combo worked well at first, but the longer I kept writing he drier it seemed to get, and it had very little lubrication.

Overall, it’s not an ink I would buy a full bottle of. It’s ok, but not great: it’s dry, has very little lubrication and has a longer dry time.
