Let’s take a look at Dominant Industry Spring Fields from the Pearl Collection. Thanks to Yoseka Stationery for sending this ink over for review!

The color:

Spring Fields is a bright chartreuse green.

Swabs:

In large swabs on Tomoe River paper the ink has some shading.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

*For my writing samples I use:

Dry time: 40 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: medium shading, no sheen, and silver shimmer.

On 20 lb copy paper the ink had just a little bit of feathering and a few dots of bleeding.

Comparison Swabs:

Spring Fields is more yellow than these other green shimmer inks. Click here to see the green inks together.

Longer Writing:

I used a Lamy Al-star Charged Green with a broad nib on a Taroko Enigma notebook. The ink had a dry flow.

Overall, this ink is well behaved, but a bit dry. The color is rather bright for me, but it’s nice that there aren’t a lot of shimmer inks out there this color.
