Ink Review #531: 3 Oysters Cool Gray

Our next 3 Oysters ink this week is Cool Gray from the Delicious collection. Thanks to Pen Chalet for sending a sample over for review.

The color:

Cool gray is just that-a medium cool toned grey.

Swabs:

In large swabs you can see some of the blue undertone and some shading.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 30 seconds

Water resistance: Medium

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: medium shading, no sheen, and no shimmer.

On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering in all nib sizes and some bleeding in the flex nib.

Longer writing:

I used a medium Pelikan M805 Stresemann on a Midori MD Notebook. The ink had a slightly dry flow.

Overall, the ink is a bit dry for me, but other than that it’s well behaved. I like the color, and it has an average dry time.
