/Our next 3 Oysters inks today is Mustard from the Delicious collection. Thanks to Pen Chalet for sending a sample over for review. This ink would be great in the fall, it fits in well with the fall leaves.
Swabs:
In large swabs the ink has some nice shading.
Writing samples:
Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.
Dry time: 30 seconds
Water resistance: Medium
Feathering: None
Show through: Medium
Bleeding: None
Other properties: medium shading, no sheen, and no shimmer.
On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering in all nib sizes and some bleeding in the flex nib.
Comparison Swabs:
Mustard is closest to Bungubox Ebisu Gold. Click here to see the 3 Oysters inks together.
Longer writing:
Overall, I really like the color, but then again I rather enjoy dark yellow inks. The flow is a bit drier than I like, but other than that it’s well behaved. I prefer Bungubox Ebisu Gold over this one, but it is much more affordable than Bungubox inks.
