It's time for our second reader request of the week: Caran D'Ache Divine Pink. I purchased my sample of ink from Vanness Pens.

The color:

Divine Pink is a dark pink.

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 40 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None.

Other properties: Low shading, no sheen, and no shimmer

On 20 pound copy paper there was a little bit of feathering but other than that the ink behaved well.

Ink swabs for comparison, left to right (top to bottom for mobile RSS): Noodler's Qin Shi Huang, Caran D'Ache Divine Pink, and Kaweco Ruby Red.

Diamine Claret, KWZ Raspberry, and Monteverde Garnet. Click here to see the pink inks together.

Longer writing:

I used a medium Pelikan M400 White Tortoise on Tomoe River paper. The ink had an average flow.

Overall, I like the color. It's pretty well behaved, I just wish it had a bit more shading. Give it a try, you might love it.
