Ink Review #384: Colorverse #35 Adobe
/Today's Colorverse x Opus 88 ink is Colorverse #35 Adobe. In each box is a 65ml bottle and a 15ml bottle of matching ink. This ink was designed to match the Opus 88 Koloro Orange Yellow fountain pen. Thanks to Pen Chalet for sending a sample over for review.
The color:
Adobe is a really interesting dark yellow, almost a mustard yellow but not quite.
Swabs:
In large swabs there the ink almost looks green when heavily pooled.
Writing samples:
Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.
Dry time: 30 seconds
Water resistance: Low
Feathering: None
Show through: Low
Bleeding: None
Other properties: low shading, no sheen, and no shimmer.
On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering and just a little bit of bleeding.
Comparison Swabs:
Ink swabs for comparison, left to right (top to bottom for mobile RSS): Robert Oster Aussie Gold, Colorverse 35 Adobe, and Robert Oster Green Olive. Click here to see the Colorverse inks together. Both Aussie Gold and Green Olive are pretty good matches, but both are just a little bit lighter than Adobe.

Longer writing:
I used a fine Jinhao Shark pen on Tomoe River paper. The ink had an average flow.
Overall, since it's a darker yellow it's surprisingly usable. It's pretty well behaved, and matches the yellow Jinhao Shark pen really well.
