/Today's Colorverse x Opus 88 ink is Colorverse #36 Laurel. In each box is a 65ml bottle and a 15ml bottle of matching ink. This ink was designed to match the Opus 88 Koloro Beige fountain pen aka "Blue Tan". Thanks to Pen Chalet for sending a sample over for review.
Swabs:
In large swabs there is just a little bit of dark pink sheen.
Writing samples:
Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.
Dry time: 20 seconds
Water resistance: Low
Feathering: None
Show through: Medium
Bleeding: None
Other properties: medium shading, tiny sheen, and no shimmer. The sheen is only visible on Tomoe River paper in large swabs.
On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering and just a little bit of bleeding.
Comparison Swabs:
Ink swabs for comparison, left to right (top to bottom for mobile RSS): Robert Oster Peppermint, Colorverse Laurel, and Robert Oster River of Fire. Both RO inks have a bit more blue in them than Laurel does. Click here to see the Colorverse inks together.
Robert Oster Green Diamond, Krishna Elegant Teal, and Robert Oster Emerald. Click here to see the green inks together.
Longer writing:
Overall, it's an interesting green, and well behaved. It kept up with wet pens pretty well, and had a decent dry time.
