Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 30 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: Low-there was just a little bit of bleeding, mainly in the flex nib.

Other properties: low shadingno sheen, and no shimmer

On 20 pound copy paper the ink behaved well, no issues that I noticed.

Comparison Swabs:

Ink swabs for comparison, left to right (top to bottom for mobile RSS): Pen Saijiki Ebizome, Colorverse Einstein Ring, and Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-budo. Click here to see the Colorverse inks together. Yama-budo seems the closest in color.

Diamine Purple Dream, KWZ Gummiberry, and Montblanc Beatles. Click here to see the purple inks together.

Longer writing:

I used a medium Pelikan M605 White Transparent on Tomoe River paper. The ink had an average flow.

Overall, I love the color of this ink. It's a lovely bright magenta, with a little bit of shading, and well behaved too.
