The color:

Saturn V is a beautiful dusty blue.

Swabs:

In large swabs you can see the sheen. In some lighting it looks black, and in some it looks dark pink, which makes this ink interesting.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 40 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: high shadingmedium sheen, and no shimmer. I was impressed with the shading this ink had. You can see the shading even in the extra fine nib.

On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was some feathering and a little bit of bleeding.

Comparison Swabs:

Longer writing:

I used a broad Pelikan M805 Vibrant Blue on Tomoe River paper. The ink had an average flow.

Overall, I was impressed with the shading and sheen this ink has. The shading even showed up in the extra fine nib, which is rare. I love the color.
