Ink Review Colorverse Felicette & Felicette Glistening

Colorverse Felicette and Felicette Glistening come together in a set, with a 65ml bottle of Felicette and a 15ml bottle of Felicette Glistening. You can find this ink for sale at Vanness Pens.

The color:

Felicette is a bright pink-red.

Make it stand out

Felicette Glistening is the same medium pink-red as the previous, but with gold shimmer.

*For my swab cards I use a Col-o-ring by Skylab Letterpress, a medium Pilot Ishime and a Mabie Todd Swan.

Swabs:

In large swabs on Tomoe River paper the inks have just a little bit of shading but no sheen.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

*For my writing samples I use:

Dry time: 20-30 seconds

Water resistance: Medium

Feathering: Low

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: low shading, no sheen, and gold shimmer.

On 20 lb copy paper there is some feathering in the larger nib sizes as well as some bleeding.

Comparison Swabs:

Felicette is closest to Tono & Lims Aomori.

Felicette Glistening is closest to PenBBS Bloom.

Longer writing:

I used a Diplomat Aero Antique Rose with a broad nib and a Sailor Pro Gear Sparkling Pink with a broad nib on a Taroko Enigma notebook. The inks had average flows.

Overall, I could go either way on this set. They are generally well behaved, but the color doesn’t wow me. I don’t need full bottles of either one.
