Ink Review #178: Diamine Cobalt Jazz
/Diamine Cobalt Jazz is another ink from the 2017 Diamine Shimmertastic collection. I'm so close to having the full collection reviewed. I purchased my sample of ink from Vanness Pens.
The ink drops show off the bright sheen and gold shimmer.
Dry time: 45 seconds
Water resistance: Low
Feathering: None
Show through: Medium
Bleeding: Low-there was a little bit of bleeding, mainly in the flex nib.
Other properties: Low shading, medium sheen, and gold shimmer.
On 20 pound copy paper there was a tiny bit of feathering, but other than that the ink behaved pretty well.
Ink swabs for comparison, left to right (top to bottom for mobile RSS): Diamine Arctic Blue, Diamine Cobalt Jazz, and Diamine Oxford Blue. Click here to see the Diamine inks together, the Shimmertastics are at the bottom of the page.
Organics Studio Emerson, Diamine Tudor Blue, and Robert Oster Lake of Fire. Click here to see the blue inks together.
Overall, I really like this one-it's nice and bright and has some interesting sheen and shimmer.
