/Today’s ink is Robert Oster Campfire, an exclusive ink from Phidon Pens. Robert Oster does a great job with store exclusive inks.
The color:
Campfire is a medium orange-brown. I compared it to oranges and browns, and decided it’s a bit more brown than orange.
Swabs:
Ink large swabs the ink looks more brown, and turns dark brown when concentrated.
Writing samples:
Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.
Dry time: 20 seconds
Water resistance: Low
Feathering: None
Show through: Medium
Bleeding: None
Other properties: medium shading, no sheen, and no shimmer.
On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering in every nib size, and some bleeding in the flex and broad nibs.

Similar inks:
Campfire is lighter and brighter than SBRE Brown. Click here to see the Robert Oster inks together.
Longer writing:
I used a medium Pelikan M605 White Transparent on Tomoe River 68gsm. The ink had an average flow.
Overall, it’s an interesting color, not quite orange and not quite brown. There aren’t a lot of inks this color, so it’s rather unique. I really enjoyed this ink in a Pelikan M605.
