Ink Review #2122: Robert Oster Ghost
/Today’s ink is Robert Oster Ghost, an EndlessPens exclusive designed by @micahfinds. Thanks to EndlessPens for sending this ink over for review!
*For my swab cards I use a Col-o-ring by Skylab Letterpress, a medium Pilot Ishime and a Mabie Todd Swan.
Swabs:
In large swabs on Tomoe River paper the ink has plenty of shimmer.
Writing samples:
Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.
*For my writing samples I use:
Vintage Mabie Todd Swan (flex nib)
Taroko Enigma notebooks (68gsm TR)
Dry time: 20 seconds
Water resistance: Medium
Feathering: None
Show through: Medium
Bleeding: None
Other properties: medium shading, no sheen, and silver shimmer.
On 20 lb copy paper the ink had just a little bit of feathering and some bleeding.
Comparison Swabs:
Ghost is a little more pewter than Robert Oster Sterling Silver. Click here to see the grey inks together.
Longer Writing:
I used a Pelikan M805 Vibrant Blue with a broad nib on a Taroko Enigma notebook. The ink had an average flow.
Overall, this is a lovely ink! I love the color, and it’s well behaved. I’m glad I have a full bottle because I think I will use it often-grey is one of my favorite colors.
