Sailor Jentle Nioi-sumire

I talked about the Sailor Jentle Four Seasons collection here, and today I'm going to talk about Nioi-sumire. It's full name is Sailor Jentle Four Seasons Nioi-sumire--Sweet Violet. The bottle holds 50 ml of ink. Sailor advertises this ink as a "spring" ink.

The color...

Nioi-sumire is a purple with a rose gold sheen. Seasonally, I would use this as a spring ink.

This ink sheens like crazy on Tomoe River paper.

Similar inks:

On the top, left to right, are: Sailor Jentle Ultra Marine, Sailor Jentle Nioi-sumire, and Diamine Imperial Blue. Bottom row: Pilot Iroshizuku Ajisai, Sheaffer Purple, and Diamine Violet. Sailor Jentle Ultra Marine is the closest, but it's a little bit more red than Nioi-sumire.

Ultra Marine and Nioi-sumire are very close, but Nioi-sumire is just a little bit more blue.

Overall, Nioi-sumire is a very wet, well flowing ink. I like the color, but I'm in love with the sheen-it's beautiful. Below is a link to where you can find this ink on Amazon.
