Ink Review #527: Taccia Sora Sky Blue

Let’s start off today with Taccia Sora Sky Blue. Thanks to Pen Chalet for sending a sample over for review.

The color:

Sora Sky Blue is a bright light blue.

In large swabs there is some pretty shading.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 20 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: medium shading, no sheen, and no shimmer.

On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering in the larger nib sizes and a little bit of bleeding in the flex nib.

Longer writing:

I used a broad Pelikan M600 Turquoise on Tomoe River 68gsm. The ink had an average flow.

Overall, it’s a pretty, well behaved blue. There are a lot of blue inks similar to this one so I don’t think I need a full bottle, but it’s very pretty.
