Ink Review #168: Diamine Electric Pink
/I'm still on the shimmer ink train-I'm hoping to make it through all of the Diamine Shimmertastics eventually. Today I'm testing out Diamine Electric Pink, from the 2017 Shimmertastic collection. So far I've been really impressed with the 2017 ones, so I'm hoping this one is a winner as well. I purchased my sample of ink from Vanness Pens.
There is plenty of beautiful silver shimmer. If you look really closely there's a tiny bit of goldish-brown sheen.
Dry time: 30 seconds
Water resistance: Low
Feathering: None
Show through: Medium
Bleeding: Low-there's just a little bit in the flex nib.
Other properties: Medium shading, a tiny bit of brownish-gold sheen, and silver shimmer. The sheen really only shows up in large swabs on Tomoe River paper.
On 20 pound copy paper the ink did really well, just a tiny bit of bleeding in the flex nib.

Overall, I love the color-it's a beautiful summery pink. It looks great with the silver shimmer. I do recommend using this ink in a large nib size, preferably in a large wet nib. It performed the best for me in a Pelikan broad nib. If you like pink and shimmer, give it a shot-you may end up loving it.
