We are continuing with the Diamine Flowers Set, today's flower ink is Diamine Gerbera. Usually this set is only available in 10-bottle sets, but I found that Cult Pens sells the bottles individually.

The color:

Gerbera is a beautiful orange. I don't usually like orange inks that much, but I love this color.

Swabs:

In large swabs there wasn't much shading, the color is pretty consistent.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 50 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: Low, mainly in the flex nib.

Other properties: low shadingno sheen, and no shimmer

On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was feathering and just a little bit of bleeding, mainly in the flex nib. The ink did spit out a blob of ink at the top of the page.

Comparison Swabs:

Ink swabs for comparison, left to right (top to bottom for mobile RSS): Diamine Blaze Orange, Diamine Gerbera, and Diamine Marigold. Click here to see the Diamine inks together.

Montblanc Lucky Orange, Nemosine Solar Storm 1859, and Sailor Jentle Apricot. Click here to see the orange inks together.

Longer writing:

I used a BB Kaweco Sport Orange on Tomoe River paper. The ink had a wet flow.

Overall, I love the color of this ink. Like some of the other Flowers inks, the ink did spit out a few blobs, and the dry time is a bit long. I really do love this color though.
