Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 30 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Low

Bleeding: None

Other properties: medium shading, tiny sheen, and no shimmer. You can only see the sheen in large swabs on Tomoe River paper.

On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was a bit of bleeding and feathering in the flex nib as well as some feathering in the other nib sizes.

Comparison Swabs:

Hope seems like a darker version of Monteverde Erinite. Click here to see the Monteverde Inks together, and click here to see the green inks together.

Longer Writing:

I used a TWSBI Eco Transparent Green with a medium nib on Tomoe River paper. The ink had a slightly dry flow.

Overall, it’s a little bit drier than most Monteverde inks. This seems to be a rather popular color way recently.
