The color:

Redshift is a vibrant dark pink, not red like the name implies.

In large swabs there is a little bit of bronze sheen.

Writing samples:

Let's take a look at how the ink behaves on fountain pen friendly papers: Rhodia, Tomoe River, and Leuchtturm.

Dry time: 30 seconds

Water resistance: Low

Feathering: None

Show through: Medium

Bleeding: None

Other properties: low shadinghigh sheen, and no shimmer. The sheen is visible in all nib sizes on Tomoe River paper, and in the flex nib on Rhodia and Leuchtturm.

On Staples 24 lb copy paper there was just a little bit of feathering, and some bleeding in the flex nib.

Comparison Swabs:

Ink swabs for comparison, left to right (top to bottom for mobile RSS): Colorverse 16 Andromeda, Colorverse 19 Redshift and Colorverse 5 Lights on Ceres. Click here to see the Colorverse inks together.

Caran d’Ache Divine Pink, Monteverde Garnet, and Lamy Vibrant Pink. Click here to see the pink inks together. Divine Pink is a bit lighter and brighter.

Longer writing:

I used a broad Twsbi Eco Pink on an ivory Hippo Noto Notebook. The ink had an average flow.

Overall, it’s a lovely bright pink, and well behaved too. I like the color-it’s a good match for the Twsbi Eco Pink.
